Books

Increase your knowledge and investing wisdom by reading further and pick up a couple of books!

This is a page that I update on a regular basis. It is a list of books and literature that I really recommend, and which I believe can help you boost your knowledge about investing, and help you grow your earning power.

Books: Click on the titles below to be directed to Amazon, where you can buy a book or two through these affiliate links to give your support to the blog, if that’s something that you’d like to.

Berkshire Hathaway Letters to Shareholders – These letters were an eye opener for me, and I really enjoyed to read them one by one and get to understand Warren Buffett’s (“The Teacher”) mindset. I read them several times over. As you read these letters you get to learn the principles of Buffett’s investing philosophy, how he’s developed over the years, and what remains the same. For me it was truly great to learn about the companies that Berkshire has bought, and Buffet’s thoughts about them. I’m amazed to have read the words of the greatest investor in our lifetime, and I enjoyed how he communicates with the reader in such a clear and informal way. It’s also made me a better investor, and by reading through the letters, I understand much about what the companies that Berkshire comprises of, which helps me look for the same aspects in my own investments.

The Essays of Warren Buffett – This book is on my reading list, and I have not yet finished it. However, it’s on my list because I know it shares the ideas of Berkshire Hathaway Letters to Shareholders in a more organized way, and it has great reviews from the readers at Amazon.

A Few Lessons for Investors and Managers – This is a short book that manages to summarize the main ideas of Warren Buffett’s letters very well. The book takes pieces of writings from different letters on the same topic and categorizes them into fitting chapters. It’s a great book to read to cover the main ideas quickly.

The Warren Buffett Way – The author attempts in this book to describe the investing process of Buffett and what he is looking for in a company. I think he did a pretty good job about sharing what is important. Worth a read!

Poor Charlie’s Almanack: The Wit and Wisdom of Charles T. Munger – This book is a collection of much of what Charlie Munger has shared on investing and living a good life; if you’re looking for investing wisdom you’ve found a great book! Charlie Munger is Warren Buffett’s partner and vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway. I highly recommend it!

Audiobooks: I use Audible for all my audiobooks, and I’m very satisfied with the service. You get to keep your audiobooks, even if you cancel. You can swap and exchange an audiobook for another for any reason, and you can listen online or offline. Also with the membership they offer the average price you pay per book is at a good discount usually.
